Keith Reiterates His Support for the Troops

Toby Keith is embarking upon an international tour of sorts this month, but this time going out of the country is going to be a little bit different than last time, as November won’t see Keith on another USO tour. Instead, he’ll be gallivanting around Europe with his guitar in tow and gruff voice ringing loud, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten about the American troops he so loves to entertain.

In fact, Keith spoke this week about his significant role in supporting the troops, backing up his choices to grant military personnel backstage access to his concerts and free burgers and beer at any of his I Love This Bar and Grill establishments. When it comes to his relentless support for the American soldier, Keith said, “They gave service to me, and all I can give them back is any service that I have… If they come to my show, I get them backstage. If they come down from during ‘American Soldier,’ I pull them up on stage. I make sure to acknowledge them and honor them as much as I can.”

Toby Keith might get attacked from all sides of the political podium for his outlandish antics at times, but the one unwavering thing about this cowboy crooner is that he gives all the support he can to American troops for their courage and loyalty.
