A New Margaritaville Product? Yes, Please!

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville brand only keeps expanding, and it shouldn’t be a big surprise to Parrotheads that the label will soon be producing a signature Margaritaville RUM. This newest endeavor comes shortly after the wild success of Margaritaville brand tequila (a must-have for any Buffett tailgate as an essential margarita element) and now Parrothead pirates can sing “yo ho ho and a bottle of rum” along with the chorus of “Margaritaville” as they cruise the Caribbean on their way to the next Jimmy Buffett concert.

According to the Rum Trader, Buffett’s new Margaritaville RUM has already produced four varieties including Dark, Silver, Coconut and Spiced RUM, and the famed line of spirits also has mixes including a ready-to-drink mojito mix. Margaritaville RUM is the perfect addition to the Margaritaville family, and it’s sure to lead to more enthusiastic sing-alongs during Buffett concerts of the hit song “A Pirate Looks at 40,” when Buffett recalls, “Yes I am a pirate, 200 years too late/ The cannons don’t thunder, there’s nothing to plunder/ I’m an over-40 victim of fate/ Arriving too late, arriving too late.” Margaritaville RUM surely hasn’t arrived too late, so look for it in stores and keep a lookout for other Margaritaville products, as well (for pirates over 21, of course!).
