50 Cent Takes on Jay-Z

In hip-hop world, there is another way to grab attention other than creating a top hit that fans love and that is to start a feud. 50 Cent and Beanie Sigel did just that with their new song “I Go Off.” In the track, they take on a man who actually DOES create chart-topping tracks, Jay-Z.

Sigel hinted at his feelings for Jay on the track rather than just saying it outright, but in case anyone missed the meaning, 50 ends the song with, “You changed, man. You let the money change you, Jay. You used to be from Marcy, n—-a. Now you’se a ‘Pass the Grey Pupon n—-a.’ You don’t want the shooters? I’ll take ‘em. Feed the wolves, or the wolves will feed off you. ... It’s your move, n—-a.”

50 also revealed to MTV that he was hopeful Jay-Z would respond and said, “Well, it would be great. It would be great for hip-hop. It would probably be interesting, but I don’t think one of us will survive it.”

Sorry to break the news to you 50, but if one person isn’t going to survive the feud, you are the one more likely to go down. After all, Jay-Z is a hip-hop mogul who has countless fans out there. See him in concert with Jay-Z tickets from StubHub.
