Radiohead Tickets – Humility is a Simple Rock Star Quality

As of recent, Radiohead hasn’t made any more R&B/pop fans , but it’s not like they really need to. According to an event surrounding the Grammy Awards, both Miley Cyrus and Kanye West were “snubbed” by Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke after they both requested an introduction while the musicians all performed during the February event. The event was amplified, no surprise, by the sixteen year old country star who initially burst in passion during radio interviews prior to the anticipation of performing with said rock group, to only days later when she vented about the rejected invitation to meet the Hannah Montana star. “I left ‘cause I was so upset. I wasn’t going to watch. Stinkin’ Radiohead! I’m gonna ruin them, I’m going to tell everyone,” she said during an interview with Phoenix based Johnjay and Rich morning show March 3.

The maturing rock group subsequently responded (via their publicist) with “When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement,” which has equally garnered as much press time. On the other spectrum, R&B sensation West was similarly snubbed at the event, though he has yet to openly bash the musicians in such a way, instead taking his efforts out in a recent VH1 Storytellers recording, which failed to make the cutting board. Of per the events during that specific said, West only stated, according to Reuters, “So when he performed at the Grammys, I sat the f*** down.”

Radiohead’s recent stint with the pop / R&B drama isn’t putting them in a sour mood, but Radiohead tickets are sure seeing a change of pace, as the guys five minutes with fame, or rather fame with E! Online, is making an impact on http://www.stubhub.com/. Just in time, too, as the guys are embracing their latest set with a Central and South America tour, bringing along Kraftwerk for the ride through Mexico City, Basil, Argentina, Chile and more. Giving daily updates via their webpage, Yorke responded just days after the public (self) humiliation done by Cyrus and West with the quite note, “Wish us all a safe journey if you still like us and you’re not one of those people I have managed to offend by doing nothing xx” – a bitter yet appropriate response from the rock musician who, with a tour on his hands, likely doesn’t have time for petty games.

It isn’t just the tour that the guys of Radiohead are getting their hands into, as their first Collector’s Editions are set for release within the next week, releasing their first three studio albums – 1993’s Pablo Honey, 1995’s The Bends, and 1997’s Ok Computer – which will include a second CD of rarities filled with demos, sessions and live recordings. Pablo Honey will include a 1992 BBC Radio One session and a DVD with four music videos, including 1993’s “Top of the Pops” television performance; The Bends includes a 1994 BBC Radio One session, five music videos via a DVD and several more television performances from their concerts in London Astoria; and Ok Computer features 1997’s BBC Radio One session, three music videos and a television performance.

Oasis Tickets – Making Some New Fabric into New Music

The frontman of British rock crooners Oasis is gearing for another headlining project – a clothing line. Liam Gallagher, whose brother Noel is also part of the Brit Award winning group, recently announced his plans to launch a label, deemed Pretty Green after a Jam song title. “The reason I’m doing it is I like clothes,” he said during an interview via the specified website (prettygreen.com). “We’re going to do clothes I like, if people like it cool if they don’t, they don’t!”

According to its newly created site, “Pretty Green is an up-front, straight talking classic clothing range owned, found and designed by Liam Gallagher. The Pretty Green team is made up of key industry professionals. The clothing range, which is entirely ‘limited edition,’ will include classic designs across footwear, denim, knitwear, jackets, trench coats, parkas, t-shirts, hats, scarves and accessories.” A quote from Liam says, “Clothes and music are my passion. I’m not here to rip anyone off and I’m not doing it for the money either. I’m doing it cuz there’s a lack of stuff out there of the things I would wear.” The short (nearly forty second) YouTube video found via the Pretty Green website flies through Britain as Liam shoots off a few positive quotes before a shot of the label’s logo finishes it off. “If you’re going to do it, you’ve got to get involved and I’m looking forward to it, and it think it’s going to be good,” Gallagher says.

Liam, who has long publicized his estranged relationship with his brother and stage partner, doesn’t let the rumors or the limited contact affected him. “Me and our kid (Noel) haven’t got a relationship, to be quite honest with you. He does his thing, and I do my thing. The only time we sort of bump into each other, and that’s rarely, is on stage…” he said to Contactmusic this March. “There’s thing he don’t like about me and there’s things I don’t like about him. He can’t change me, I wouldn’t wanna change him. The main thing is that we both love Oasis, so that’s about it. We just do Oasis things,” he continued. While quite vocal about such a strain, he has to be if the Gallagher brothers want to quell any rumors that the forced relationship damaged the group – rather their angst has held strong with great lyrical content and more.

Still, the relationship seemingly has been strained with some fan bases, as the Chinese government recently scrapped several planned performances in the country. According to their website, “representatives from the Chinese government have revoked the performance licenses already issued for the band and ordered their shows in both Beijing and Shanghai to be immediately cancelled.” Though Oasis tickets remain a hot commodity as http://www.stubhub.com/ continues to sell them in other venues around the world; their East Asian tour that makes a pit stop in Hong Kong in the beginning of April is still set. According to the guys, the group’s 1997’s “Free Tibet” benefit concert in the United States, saw the band “unsuitable to perform for their fans in the Chinese Republic.”

Kelly Clarkson Tickets – All She Wants it a Return to the Top

Kelly Clarkson has returned to the stage, after being in the dim light of her own making. Now she’s returning with a pop master (Max Martin) and a new game face – All I Ever Wanted made a premiere on Saturday Night Live this weekend, with Clarkson singing “My Life Would Suck Without You,” already an early position for Single of the Year as deemed by Rolling Stone.  The bad girl of American Idol is back, and there is no doubt that the angst power from “Since U Been Gone” will help http://www.stubhub.com/ to sell out her tickets.

Clarkson isn’t quite ready to support her latest set with a full headlining tour, but Kelly Clarkson tickets are still making their rounds at a few summer concert specials, including one with Gavin DeGraw in August. And with help from a big boost via Billboard.com, who not only plan on housing the popper’s new album up on their Top 200 but also predict that the punk rocker will knock off the infamously Irish group U2 from the top spot next week, Clarkson has been clever enough to make that change in her tunes. After performing on her American Idol last week post Good Morning America, the two groups are working together to boost album sales in general, since the onset of YouTube and iTunes have made music venues nearly obsolete.

Sure, her lyrics aren’t emotionally inventive, singing about her lack of one night stands and whatnot, but the powerful melodies and crash of guitars led by the unmistakable vocal capacity from the winner of the first season of American Idol nearly drown out the relatively rudimentary lyrical content. “Wanted” has Clarkson’s strong vocals pop through its piano balladry and retro-soul beats as she sings “I’m not your love monkey, so be takin’ back all of the lies you sold.” Another, “Cry,” shows her Texas roots develop full swing, putting Kellie Pickler to shame. As the constant theme remains one of independence and self-reliance, rumors regarding Clarkson’s sexuality and relationship experience will undoubtedly become more heightened. During an interview with newest American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi during Entertainment Tonight, Clarkson said, “Just because I’m single and don’t date a lot, that doesn’t make me a lesbian.” Though she admits that she’s never been in love and has dated a few men that were only “interested” in her to be part of the fame, her work lyrically with singles like “Cry” divulge that there has been a heartbreak or two.

Her previous album, 2007’s My December, was full of depressingly relatable lyrics, all co-composed by Clarkson – but all equally lacking a catchy chorus. The album failed in the eyes of the pop star, who had to cancel a tour due to poor ticket sales and contrived a heated relationship with her record label and its mogul, Clive Davis. Though still managing to go platinum, the album didn’t heel any singles, which was quite a change for the 11 million seller Breakaway, her sophomore effort. Seemingly in the darkness, a country album was leaked with her name on it and the project was shelved – but now she’s back, and ready to break out everything she’s ever wanted.

Death Cab for Cutie Tickets – Opening a New Door

Commercializing as much as they can after their first commercially successful album Narrow Stairs, indie alt rockers Death Cab for Cutie are releasing an EP that is essentially an extension of the May 2008 album – “when we finished Narrow Stairs there were four extra songs that, because we were trying to put together an album, we ended up not including – it’s not like they’re castoffs or anything; they’re part of the Narrow Stairs experience. They need to have a proper home, and the EP is it,” Nick Harmer said to MTV. Now the four newest tracks, as well as a demo of the fifth Narrow Stairs track “Talking Bird,” has found a proper home in The Open Door, the EP set for release in the beginning of April. The guys are supporting their latest critically acclaimed set with a healthy gobbling of spring and summer tour dates, where the EP can first be purchased before hitting stores mid-April.

The guys are hitting the Hollywood circuit this time around (their sixth to be exact) as they release their latest music video via MTV. The single “Grapevine Fires,” has the guys “animated” about the latest from Narrow Stairs; “I’m a huge comic book fan, so there was that,” bassist Harmer continued with MTV. “Plus, in my head, I couldn’t see any kind of live-action video that wouldn’t come off as heavy-handed or overwrought. So we knew what we didn’t want it to be. Plus, we knew we should do a cameo, which meant we’d get to be animated, so that was a bonus.” With the onset of the popularity of Narrow Stairs and their latest EP, the guys have added several more summer dates to their already extensive tour, bringing along Ra Ra Riot, Tegan and Sara, Andrew Bird and the New Pornographers in an intermixing ceremony that will also see the guys appearing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl July 5th. Lady GaGa Tickets – New Single for Lady GaGa

Continuing her trend of churning out ridiculously catchy pop confections like “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” Lady GaGa unveiled her new clip for the song “LoveGame” on the heels of kicking off her Fame Ball tour in San Diego on March 12. “This is all part of a movement. My artistry is much deeper than fashion or anything like that. I love pop music, and I want to bring it back. People are truly hungry for this,” Lady Gaga told MTV News, continuing to describe the video: “I wanted to really bring forth the girl that I was four years ago, and I wanted to put it in the setting of the underground subway. I worked with [video director] Joseph Kahn, and he did an amazing job. He didn’t just capture the fashion; he captures the artist.”
“LoveGame” broke into the Billboard Hot 100 last week, giving Lady GaGa her third single on the chart, as “Poker Face” and “Just Dance” are already in the top ten. What is the recipe for Lady GaGa’s pop success? According to the pop princess, “we all used to believe in that very artistic lie that pop music tells us. And we want to believe that again. And it is back. I promise you. It’s happening right now. My work is honest and strong, and I couldn’t be more happy to see it reach so many people. There’s really nothing else I can say.” Check out http://www.stubhub.com for Lady GaGa tickets to see her perform her hit pop songs live.
Pop permeated the life of Lady GaGa long before she was known by her famous moniker; the singer was greatly influenced by glam rockers like David Bower and Queen as well as ‘80s dance pop stars like Madonna and Michael Jackson while growing up as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta in Manhattan. She attended Convent of the Sacred Heart before attending New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Lady GaGa got her first gig in the music industry writing songs for Interscope Records, penning tracks for pop artists like the Pussycat Dolls, before launching a solo career. After issuing the infectious single “Just Dance,” Lady Gaga unveiled her debut album, The Fame, in 2008. The theatrical singer, songwriter and pianist earned a Grammy nomination for her debut album, which was released in the U.K. to similar fame in early 2009. Just Dance is already double platinum in Canada and Australia and is gyrating its way up the charts in the States.
Lady GaGa recently told Billboard.com that she was “so mental and sleepless and excited” for her 23-date Fame Ball tour, which wraps up April 11 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Although Lady GaGa said she enjoyed her stint on tour opening for the Dolls, she revealed that she is more than ready for a tour of her own. “This is going to be, like, the ultimate creative orgasm for me ‘cause I’m ready to move on. I’m not restricted to a certain structure for my show anymore. No limitations. I’m free,” the Los Angeles-based singer gushed. Lady Gaga tickets are going fast so get yours today!
