Secret Gig Club

According to MySpace and Rolling Stone, four days after the release of Green Day’s new album “21st Century Breakdown,” the guys will perform for only 300 of their fans in a secret show somewhere in New York City. The group is scheduled for Manhattan’s Webster Hall May 19th and if you take part in MySpace adamatenly, then you will know that “The List” offers up a plethora of blogs and bulletins as to how to obtain Green Day tickets, so keep yourself in the game via Green Day’s MySpace and more.

The group has been a constant member of the “secret show” club—in 2004 they did a series of small gigs, including one at New York’s Irving Plaza that was also the album release party, where they played their punk opera American Idiot. Most recently the group has been honing their new tracks in and around their home town via local Bay Area shows, small and just as “secret” as before, playing three full hours of brand new material as well as some classics. The latest was the Fox Theater in Oakland.
