More Gossip About Buckland’s Nuptuals
Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland wed his longtime girlfriend, jewelry designer Chloe Lee Evans on Saturday, November 14. The pair walked down the aisle at One Marylebone Road, a church located in London, England. All of the Coldplay bandmates attended the ceremony: Chris Martin, Will Champion and Guy Berryman. Buckland and Evans have a two-year-old daughter named Violet.
Jonny Buckland also had a special musical performer at his wedding. The Coldplay bandmember hired X Factor reject Daniel Pearce. Pearce did not make the final 12 of The X Factor and is in a boy band and Buckland ultimately chose to entertain his guests. One of the wedding guests noted that many people were shocked to find out who was in charge of the music for the evening, but said, “Daniel was really good though. He had everyone up dancing. It was a great day. Jonny said he’d booked the band but had no idea who would be fronting it.”

A Wedding For Coldplay Band Member!
Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland is no longer a single man. The bandmember officially tied the knot with girlfriend Chloe Lee-Evans on Saturday, November 14. The pair already have a two-year-old daughter named Violet together. There were many family members, friends as well as the rest of the Coldplay bandmates in attendance at the ceremony, which took place at One Marylebone in London, England.
Buckland asked X Factor reject Daniel Pearce to sing at his wedding. Apparently Buckland was a big hit at the event and a source who attended the nuptials said, “Daniel was really good. He had everyone up dancing. It was a great day. Jonny said he’d booked the band but had no idea who would be fronting it.”
Coldplay has been busy this year playing gigs around the world, and they have been riding on the success of their latest album, Viva La Vida. Make sure to catch Coldplay live onstage when they perform in a city near you. Get your Coldplay tickets today from StubHub.
Buckland Hires Former X Factor Contestant
Daniel Pearce didn’t impress the judges enough on the British show X Factor to make it all the way to the top, but he apparently impressed another music mogul. According to RTE Entertainment, Jonny Buckland of Coldplay hired Pearce to be the entertainment at his wedding. Since Buckland could have had just about anyone serenade him and his new wife, the booking is quite the compliment for Pearce. The booking, however, may have been an accident.
A source who was at the wedding said, “It was a shock when we saw who was doing the music. I couldn’t believe that the guitarist in the world’s biggest band would hire someone from X Factor and Popstars: The Rivals to perform covers. Daniel was really good though. He had everyone up dancing. It was a great day. Jonny said he’d booked the band but had no idea who would be fronting it.”
It is hard to believe that someone whose profession is music, like Buckland, wouldn’t check out who would be singing at his nuptials. Either way, Buckland is now married and the band can go back to touring after he presumably goes on his honeymoon. See the whole band live with Coldplay tickets from StubHub.
Natalie Imbruglia Back in the Game…With a Little Help From Chris Martin
Natalie Imbruglia was on top of the pop music world with her huge hit song “Torn” in 1997. It first appeared on her album, Left of the Middle and the single sold well over seven million copies worldwide. Since then, however, things have been a little slow for the pop star and she hasn’t had a hit like “Torn” in a long time. That might be about to change, however, being that the singer has a brand new album out, called Want. Even more encouraging news for Imbruglia: Chris Martin of Coldplay produced the album, and it has already helped put her name back on the charts both in Thailand and internationally.
Be sure to check out the interview with her on bangkokpost.com and also check on StubHub to reserve a pair of Coldplay tickets to see Chris Martin and the gang rock it live onstage!
Pet Shop Boys Take on “Viva La Vida”
One of the best parts of The Pet Shop Boys colorful Pandemonium tour turned out to be a complete mashup of their own 1988 classic ballad “Domino Dancing” and Coldplay’s 2008 #1 hit song “Viva La Vida.” The Pet Shop Boys announced through their Twitter account earlier this month. The track will be included on an upcoming Christmas, a five-track EP slated for December. Take a listen to the Pet Shop Boys’ version of “Viva La Vida” here. The Pet Shop Boys’ Christmas EP will also feature covers of Madness’ “My Girl” as well as their late ‘90s holiday ballad “It Doesn’t Often Snow at Christmas.”
In other “Viva La Vida” news, Sweden’s 2004 Idol winner, Darin Zanyar also covered Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.” Check out the video of Zanyar performing onstage. Make sure to get your own pair of Coldplay tickets as soon as possible from StubHub.
Next Career Move for Martin…Comedian?
Apparently that’s what Ash singer Tim Wheeler thinks. Wheeler has encouraged the Coldplay frontman to take on more acting roles, after his stint in the horror film Slashed. He told The Guardian: “He was the best thing in it. He’s a really, really good actor. He could be really strong in comedy.” The film, which was filmed in 2001, also featured a plethora of other musicians, including Moby, Dave Grohl and actor James Nesbitt. Although the movie was never actually released, Wheeler hopes that it may appear on screens sometime in the future. He elaborated by saying, “We’re still talking about using that footage. A lot of people will want to see Chris Martin getting axed to death.” Okay, well maybe not his true fans!

Pet Shop Boys and “Viva La Vida”
The Pet Shop Boys are offering a holiday treat this year with the announcement that they will be releasing a cover of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.” The tune will be merged with their own track “Domino Dancing” and will be featured on their Christmas EP. The Pet Shop Boys have been experimenting with a version of the cover on their current tour, and fans can catch an earful of the tune here. The track was produced by Stuart Price. Keep your eyes peeled for the release of this special addition track and also compare notes with Coldplay’s version (the original).

The Martin-Bosworth Kissing Report Just Won’t Go Away!
Reports recently surfaced that the Coldplay frontman had been seen kissing the 26-year-old actress, something which Chris Martin emphatically denies. A representative to Martin noted that, “Chris did not hook up with Kate in public or private. Chris has enough to deal with his work, his children and Gwyenth. He is not adding an affair with another A-lister to his list of things to do.” Martin, is of course married to actress Gwyenth Paltrow, 37. Apparently Paltrow is not concerned with the tabloid rumors, with a source close to couple saying, “Chris pretty much laughed off the accusations and as ever, Gwyneth was fairly unaffected. She trusts Chris would not cheat on her in such a blatant, public manner.”

That’s Right…Even the Old Folks Like Coldplay
Young@Heart is pretty much what it sounds like: a group of musicians ages 73 to 88, who enjoy performing music. The group requires that members be at least 73-years-old and strives to bridge a gap between generations with music. Young@Heart isn’t renowned for Mozart, Warren Buffet or even Elvis tunes…rather they are hip…modern…cool. The group rocks to music like Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix and Coldplay, proving that no matter how old you get, you can still enjoy a good dose of grunge. The group is well-known because of a string of tours that they have been performing throughout the nation. An upcoming documentary featuring the innovative music group is set for release on Nov. 18.
Seriously, this is a concert worth watching, but you might want to also consider seeing one of the bands that they mimic. Why not get Coldplay tickets from StubHub and treat yourself to a great live show.
Pet Shop Boys Cover Coldplay
This is just in: the Pet Shop Boys have announced the details of a special Christmas EP, which is set to include covers of both Coldplay and Madness songs. The Christmas EP will feature a version of Chris Martin and Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida,” which will segue into a version of the band’s own 1988 hit, “Domino Dancing” and their special rendition of Madness’s 1982 single “My Girl.” The Christmas EP is scheduled to be released on December 14, so that everyone can get into the mood for the holidays.
“Viva La Vida” has been a huge hit for the British band Coldplay and has actually been covered in the past by many different musical artists. Don’t miss out on this version by the Pet Shop Boys.
