Celine Dion Blog
Celine Dion on Twitter
In case you haven’t heard, Twitter is the newest and hottest social networking site on the Internet. Basically, it’s a mini blog, a microblog, where bloggers can post anything they want… it just has to be fewer than 140 characters. Many celebrities have Twitter accounts. Well, except Miley Cyrus. However, as yet Celine Dion does not have a confirmed, verifiable Twitter account. There are several imposter’s, though. _celinedion is actually a pretty good place to get some cool information and links that have to do with Celine Dion.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Celine Dion were to get a real Twitter account. This blogger thinks that she should either have someone do a Twitter feed through her actual website, as part of her news and information section. For fans of Celine Dion who are Internet friendly, having a Twitter page to come to would be a real help. Perhaps we should campaign the Dion team to get a Twitter account. Sound like a plan?

The Hollywood Walk of Fame has a website where you can locate your favorite artist’s star. Celine Dion’s star is located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd.
Did you know that Strongheart, Lassie and Rin Tin Tin are all members of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with stars and everything? In case you don’t know, Strongheart was a German shepherd and a star of silent films.

Video Wednesday: Interview with Rosie
Welcome to the Blog, Celine Dion fans. Today we have a video that’s a real blast from the past. Do you recall the Rosie O’Donnell Show? Rosie was very, very popular for daytime host just a few years back, and one day she had Celine Dion as a guest. This was right before Celine Dion took a little break from singing to focus on her family. While the video say that this is the funniest Celine Dion interview ever, it’s not like, laugh-out-loud funny. It’s entertaining.
Celine and Rosie talk about golf, her shows, her kids, etc. Celine has a particularly funny little story about how she killed a cockroach on stage one time. She was in the middle of singing a song in a show, when she noticed a cockroach crawling across the stage. She made the act of stepping on it part of her theatrics. Very nice. Well enjoy the interview, and the rest of your day Celine Dion fans!

New Book on Celine Out; Celine on Oprah
It’s Tuesday, so it’s time to get some news and information about the latest in the world of Celine Dion. Apparently there is a new French-language book about Celine Dion out now. It’s called Céline autour du monde, and it was written by Gérard Schachmes. Although nobody in the Celine Dion Blog department speaks French, we’re sure this book will be a good one for any CD fan. It will probably contain more biographical information about Celine’s family life with her young son, Rene-Charles, and more information about her life after the conclusion of her Vegas show.
Did you know that Celine Dion was on Oprah the other day? It’s true! She was on in a short video clip in an episode about Whitney Houston. Celine gave her a message of encouragement and shared some fond memories. Here’s the clip.

Grab Bag Friday: Tracey Shield
You know you’re a superstar when you have professional tribute performers impersonating you. Celine Dion is just that kind of superstar, as she has a professional impersonator named Tracey Shield. Tracey Shield has a show called “An Evening with Celine Dion” and you can book her for your next large event. Apparenly she’s very good at what she does. Random Fact Thursday: September 11
It’s another Thursday and you know what that means: more random facts. Today we’re talking about September 11th, 2001. It seems as though everyone was, in one way or another affected by the terrorist attacks of September 11th, and Celine Dion was no different. Shortly after the terrible events of September 11th, Celine took part in a fundraiser concert called America: A Tribute to Heroes, and sang “God Bless America.”
Now for some random facts. While most of us think about the Twin Towers, there were actually two other plane hijackings that day. One plane flew into the Pentagon, which is the world’s largest office building. Another plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania after passengers aboard the plane attempted to re-take the cockpit. The movie United 93 is a model of what might have happened on the plane that did not reach its target.
In the years after the attacks, several popular conspiracy theories have developed. 9/11 Truth is one of the most popular sites about conspiracy theories.
The loss of life due to the attacks on September 11th was enormous. Over 2,000 people died in the World Trade Centers alone. The economic affects were drastic as well. If you have the time, this long report details the economic toll taken on that fateful day.

Celine Dion Could Return to Vegas in 2010!
It’s Tuesday and we have a real juicy bit of information to pass onto you for “In the News Tues.” Apparently Celine Dion could come back to perform a regular show in Vegas, and her return could be as soon as next year!
Where did I get this hot piece of rumor? Well, a little bird told me. Actually it was a robin, Robin Leach, to be precise! At Leach’s website he wrote an article which stated that he has inside knowledge about the return of Celine Dion to the Coliseum at Caesar’s palace in Las Vegas. Although he admits that he can’t get any hard confirmations from either the Celine Dion camp or the hotel, he seems pretty sure it’s going to happen. Keep your fingers crossed!

Music Monday: “The Power of Love”
It’s Monday, and you all know what that means. We’re going to give you all a little taste of one of Celine Dion’s greatest songs. In order to start your work week off right, we’re going to talk to you a little bit about the song “The Power of Love.”
“The Power of Love” was one of the earlier chart hits for Celine Dion when she was becoming a huge superstar in the United States. This was one of the singles from her album The Color of My Love. It debuted in November of 1993. Celine Dion received several award nominations for the song, which was originally written by Jennifer Rush. The song has some great lyrics, and here is a little sample. Try to use the “power” of this song to help you get through this cold, hard Monday morning.
“‘Cause I’m your lady
And you are my man
Whenever you reach for me
I’ll do all that I can
We’re heading for something
Somewhere I’ve never been
Sometimes I am frightened but I’m ready to learn
Of the power of love”
