Tunde Adebimpe solo record coming out!

Fans of TV on the Radio understand that a big part of the band’s sound comes from the distinctive vocals of singer Tunde Adebimpe. Combined with their mix of indie rock and synthesizer beats, they have a very original sound. But now it seems that hardcore fans interested in hearing what Adebimped is capable of himself will get an opportunity to hear him perform solo.

Adebimpe is releasing a solo 7”. It has to be said that it looks awesome. Check out the record art at Pitchfork, where they’re hosting a good-sized image. The art of vinyl has definitely been lost, seeing as CDs and now digital music is so much more convenient to store. But this is really a masterpiece, even if you don’t care about vinyl. Called Fake Male Voice, it includes the songs “Cou Cou Nou Les Nuages” and “OMG!!! FMV!!!”

Of course, you can still see Adebimpe performing with the rest of the band. TV on the Radio tickets are plentiful over at StubHub. Go there now and get some concert tickets!
