Tom Jones is Feeling Sorry

After many years of taking on the role of being a “ladies man” Tom Jones finally aplogized to his wife, who stood by him for more than half a century as he pursued his career.  In a new song, “The Road,” Jones tells his wife, Linda that he knows that he caused her pain.  The tune is the first song that he has publicly dedicated to his wife.  Jones has been with Linda since they were childhood sweethearts in the South Wales mining town of Pontypridd.

Jones says in his lyrics, “Felt the weakness when I was strong/Held sweetness, when it was wrong.”  He also goes on to say that he has seen her crying “tears of rain” and left her “shattered on the ground,” but he promises, “The road always returns to you, and my love, it still belongs to you.”    If you are a longtime Jones fan, be sure to get your Tom Jones tickets from Stubhub.com.
