Pitchfork Music Festival News!

Yoko Ono has agreed to the Pitchfork Music Festival that will kick off July 13 with the North American premiere of “Don’t Look Back,” a concert concept that began at the U.K. Festival “All Tomorrow’s Parties.”

Joining a slew of indie acts that include Sonic Youth, Cat Power, Clipse, De La Soul, Grizzly Bear, New Pornographers, Or Montreal, Klaxons and Menomena at the three-day festival, Yoko Ono is cashing in on her own new found surge of popularity thanks to the release of a pair of projects that revisit her own musical legacy. With an amazing number of bands playing each night of this festival, the first night will feature such groups as Wu-Tang Clan’s The GZA (Liquid Swords), Slint (Spiderland), and Sonic Youth (Daydream Nation) as well as some of the indie music scene kids with great buzz surrounding them, including Iron & Wine, Girl Talk and Battles.

Ono is excited to be headlining this festival as it will be a means for her to act on the revival, of sorts, that has been happening over the past few years as people have begun to revisit her work which previously had been spoken of quite poorly. If this sounds like a great event to you, then you know you want to visit Stubhub.com and get your hands on tickets to this festival and all sorts of other musical events while you still can!
