Passion Pit scheduled to play Letterman

The other week, when David Letterman dropped a bombshell on national television—namely, that he was being blackmailed for cheating on his wife with female staffers—it rocked a lot of people’s worlds. Case in point? Indie-pop band Passion Pit, who was scheduled to perform that night and shortly beforehand were rescheduled for November. Al Adamhy, the band’s vocalist and face, told Spinner they were a little let down that they their debut on the show got moved back, but that doesn’t mean they’ve been kept from national television: They got to perform on the Jimmy Fallon show, which they said was a pretty unique (and stressful!) experience.
“‘That was a weird experience. Ha, so this is how a TV show is done, okay,’ says the keyboard and guitar player, adding that it’s very different from performing in a club. ‘In a club, you get to build up. If you’re just doing one song, there’s only one chance, like, don’t [screw] it up; all right, you’re on now! Arghhhh! We did a good job; we tried to battle off our nerves. It was very different.’”
The band is still on tour, so you can see them live as well if you buy concert tickets.
