New Oasis album coming out

Joe Biden might be a godsend to political news sites, but Noel Gallagher has always been way ahead of him in the public gaffes department (as far as music goes, at least). But fans won’t be cringing over the most recent news he’s generating, that, hot on the heels of the band’s seventh record, an eighth is already largely penned and has been demoed.

Gallagher told Billboard that it would be “vastly different” from the Oasis album that came out just a few weeks ago, Dig Out Your Soul. Apparently he had already written some of the songs on this eighth record while working on Soul, but “ran out of time” to record them, according to The Guardian. Also tantalizingly out of reach is the prospect of a solo record, which still remains to be seen, and which Gallagher claims he’s still very interested in recording some day soon. Fans will just have to keep an eye out for both.

If you haven’t already bought concert tickets to see the band, now is the time. Get Oasis tickets at StubHub.com.
