Michael Jackson syas he won’t be part of Jackson 5 reunion

Well, make it Jackson 4. On the heels of the recent announcement that Jackson 5 will reunite for a tour in 2009 Michael Jackson announced that he will not participate. In a statement obtained from Billboard, Jackson said, “My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we’ve certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them. I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon.” Jackson’s brother Jermaine was the family member who let the cat out of the bag during a TV industry function in Sydney. Jermaine was in Australia Oct. 29 to help launch a new “greatest hits: TV channel for Foxtel and said the reunion was “a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together,” in a statement to the Australian Associate Press. Janet will reportedly open and then the original Jackson 5 (minus Michael) will take the stage.
