Madonna’s Confessions tour topped summer listed ticket sales

Madonna’s
Madonna doesn’t need to confess anything: the stats speak for her. Stubhub’s compiled list of sales show her Confessions tour rocked out this summer, making New York Metro, LA, and Chicago the top three grossing cities for Stubhub sales, and Madonna was at the top in all three. The list:
1.  New York Metro   Madonna
2.  Los Angeles   Madonna
3.  Chicago   Madonna
4.  Philadelphia   Jimmy Buffett
5.  Boston     Dave Matthews Band with Sheryl Crow
6.  San Francisco Bay Area Madonna

But these tickets can be a hard thing to come by, selling out in hours through online vendors. Stubhub offers a fan-to-fan service that keeps you in control of what you’re selling and buying, and in possession of the knowledge that there’s another person on the other side of the transaction, not a merciless statistical computer. That’s why, frustrated with a lack of availability and access, concert goers are looking to StubHub, the fan’s ticket marketplace, to secure ducats to enjoy their favorite acts.

As for Madonna, her 34-date tour was the most popular performance of the summer on StubHub. Tickets have sold for as low as $10 and as high as $3883, so whether you’re buying or selling, you’re in a position to win big.

And StubHub is no small-fry, either. Its stats are accurate and powerful, and up-to-the-minute too. Check out StubHub’s concert tickets center to do some research on your favorite shows yourself, and keep an eye on the blog for the latest on hot sells and steal purchases. I’ll keep posting our stats as they come in.
