Los Campesinos! working overtime, put out another record

Just in time for Christmas, a new Los Campesinos! album has been issued. We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed is their second record for the year—though in the comments on an AV Club review, it’s noted that the band considers this an EEP (extended-extended play). Whatever it is, it’s good, as the review points out. If you enjoyed their first release this year, then you’re sure to love this one. The review notes it’s more of the same, and that that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

“The title track is one of the band’s best yet: It’s a layered, glowing display of that intersection between total confidence and utter self-doubt,” the review notes, adding that vocalist Gareth Campesino (which is, naturally, a pseudonym) is a songwriter wise beyond his years. He’s apparently only 22—that means there’s a lot of brilliant work to come from this lad.

Don’t settle for the song sample they have on the review. Get concert tickets and see the band live! Los Campesinos tickets can be found at StubHub.com.
