Kraftwerk to Support Radiohead’s Spring Shows
Radiohead is set to hit the road in Latin America this spring, and the Thom Yorke-fronted band secured German electronica outfit Kraftwerk as their supporting act. Radiohead begins their tour March 15-16 in Latin America. Although Kraftwerk’s lineup appears to be undergoing some changes, the legendary act will play a par of headlining shows in Wolfsburg, Germany April 25-26. Florian Schneider, Kraftwerk’s founding member, was absent from the stage during the group’s 2008 world tour and according the Kraftwerk’s official fan site he has left the group.
The group, which is comprised of Fritz Hilpert and Henning Schmitz, replaced Schneider with Stefan Pfaffe last year. Krafwerk’s tour dates:
March 15-16: Mexico City (Foro Sol)
March 20: Rio de Janeiro (Praca da Apoteose)
March 22: Sao Paulo, Brazil (Chacara Do Jockey)
March 24: Buenos Aires (Club Cuidad)
March 26-27: Santiago, Chile (San Carlos De Apoquindo)
April 25-26: Wolfsburg, Germany (Altes Heizkraftwerk)
