John Lennon biopic coming out

The life and times of John Lennon will soon be brought to epic life on the silver screen. Apparently, visual-artist Sam Taylor-Wood is directing the film (according to this item on Billboard’s Web site) and titling the project Nowhere Boy. The focus is largely on the influences that shaped Lennon—primarily his aunt and mother.

The movie will be pretty revealing, as many people know the public persona of The Beatles far more than they do the actual men themselves. Lennon’s story is one that will be highly compelling, as he struggled through a lonely childhood, using music to connect to others and express his own feelings. His friendship with Paul McCartney is something that also sustained him through those lonely years.

While you can never see the Beatles perform live again, there are plenty of bands that have made careers out of impresonating them—and impersonating them well. 1964 the Tribute is one of these, and fortunately concert tickets are available for them. Get 1964 the Tribute tickets on Stubhub.com.
