Echo and the Bunnymen releasing a new record
In the ‘80s, alternative rock band Echo and the Bunnymen became infamous for their morose records and lyrics. They were also fiercely loved by their fans, and it looks like those same fans are finally getting the opportunity to see them return to the stage. The Bunnymen are going to be releasing a new album, entitled The Fountain, which will be their eleventh released during their career. The Quietus reports that the band is issuing the record on Oct. 12 on Ocean Rain Records. A single, “Think I Need it To,” will be coming out Sept. 28, so make sure you keep your eyes (and ears) open for that one.
The band’s fans have continued to rave about them over the years, and there are many, many indie rock bands today that are indebted to their sound. Naturally, there’s going to be a flurry of attention over their upcoming tour when the album drops. There are plenty of younger fans who have never seen the band live, and they’re all going to want to see them. Get concert tickets when they’re finally out and you can enjoy them live, too!
