Devo performs!
If you weren’t in Brooklyn last night, lament missing a hot show. Devo, along with opening acts Tom Tom Club and the fabulous Dan Deacon. Pictures are here. It’s strange to see these guys don their suits and energy domes, if only because they’re no longer the awkward young New Wavers of yesteryear. That doesn’t dampen their performances any, but it’s easier to see Mark Mothersbaugh as a doughy grandfather than a brassy synth-rocker these days.
Fortunately, we still have the band to please the fans, and there’s plenty of them, you can be sure. If you haven’t already lined up concert tickets for the band’s upcoming shows, you might want to read through their list of tour dates and find some close to you. The sooner the better, because you can be sure Devo tickets will run out fast.
