Tickets still available for the Pitchfork Music Festival
Pitchfork, the Internet’s musical weather vane, has been getting fans of numerous bands riled up this year with a unique arrangement to their annual music festival. The festival starts Friday, July 18, with three classic bands each performing a classic album live. First up is Mission of Burma playing Vs. at 6 p.m., followed by Sebadoh playing Bubble and Scrape at 7:15 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., Public Enemy performs It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back.
There’s tons of extras you should learn about the festival before going, and you can find them out here. Here’s an interesting tidbit: On Thursday, the day before the festival’s official start, a panel discussion on Public Enemy’s landmark album will be held with some of the group’s “Bomb Squad” members and others.
