Spring Tour for Keith Urban
Country star Keith Urban will hit the road on tour in North America next spring in support of his upcoming, as-yet-untitled new album, which is slated for release March 31 via Capitol Nashville. The jaunt is expected to start in May and run through next summer, although dates are not yet confirmed. The various dates will be supported by some of country’s finest: Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Glen Campbell, Lady Antebellum, the Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley and tickets will go on sale early in 2009.
Keith Urban’s new single, “Sweet Thing,” has already sold over 64,000 downloads in its first two weeks of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan and the track also awarded Urban his first top 50 debut on the Hot 100 at No. 43. First a marriage to Nicole Kidman, then the couple’s daughter Sunday Rose arrived and now a new album and tour underway, Urban is clearly on a good path.
