Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan collaborating
Some big breaking news from GigWise today, which is reporting that ex-Beatle and all-time great songwriter Paul McCartney will be teaming up with folk and rock legend Bob Dylan to record together. Needless to say, anyone who listened to either of these two men’s music when they were young will be bowled over by the news. These are two of the biggest figures to emerge from the ‘60s, and both are still supreme songwriters. What sorts of gems will they come up with together? Well…we’re not going to know about it until they’re ready. They’re taking all precautions to work privately, according to the Daily Express (via GigWise):
“A source tells the paper, ‘Paul has a home in California not too far from Bob’s so the idea is for the two to meet when Paul is in California over the summer. They’ll obviously want to work in privacy and it’s felt one of their homes will be the best bet. Getting these two together for any length of time is difficult schedule-wise but they both want this to work out. The music that comes out of this will be fascinating to hear.’
Awesome stuff. If you’re looking for concert tickets for either artist, get them while they’re still available.
