Morrissey’s Shows Cancelled Due to Water!

Two shows that were to be performed by Morrissey at the Hollywood Palladium were cancelled due to a broken water main that rendered the venue unable to be utilized until the main could be repaired and damages dealt with. Live Nation announced that these two shows had to be cancelled which is surely disappointing to all the fans who were undoubtedly excited for their chance to see their favorite performer live!

Morrissey was scheduled to have a 10-night residency at the venue, which holds 4,000 people and is located in Los Angeles. However, the ruptured water pipe rendered such a scheduled appearance impossible due to the safety issues that the water main garnered.

Live Nation spokesman John Vlautin said that there was no serious damage done to the venue and that it would up and running again on Friday, October 5. For all you fans out therte, tickets from the cancelled October 3 and October 4 shows are to be honored at the October 8 and October 9 shows so everyone can see the show they wanted, even if it is not on the date they had planned for.
