Kanye versus Colbert: Round 1
Nation, it’s hard not to love Stephen Colbert. But sometimes he takes things too far—too far for Kanye West, anyways. Pitchfork’s blog writers, who apparently watch everything Kanye does online, from his blog posts to his Twitter tweets, discovered a brewing animosity between the two, or at least brewing in one against the other.
On a recent episode of the Colbert Report, your favorite conservative news pundit took Kanye to task for declaring himself “the voice of this generation of this decade,” retorting that with all of Kanye’s auto-tuning, he’s not really even the voice of his own album. The whole segment was basically another shill for Colbert’s Christmas special, which recently premiered on Comedy Central. But Kanye apparently didn’t find the gag as funny—his tweet following the broadcast seemed to question Colbert’s relevance in some not-safe-for-work language.
Regardless, ye faithful who love 808s and Heartbreak will be pleased to know the modest one still has concert tickets available to upcoming show. Grab Kanye West tickets at StubHub.com.
