John Legend Steps Up to the Plate
John Legend stood in for Alicia Keys to sing the national anthem last night at Game Two of the World Series in New York City. Keys still performed “Empire State of Mind” along with fellow New York native Jay-Z to an ecstatic crowd of Yankees fans. The World Series between the Yankees and the Phillies has riled up baseball fans around the country. The Phillies won Game One 6-1 on Wednesday night and the Yankees took last night’s game 3-1. In addition to sports junkies, the Series has also captured the attention of music fans, with an allstar lineup of Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and John Legend. So even if you don’t like baseball, there are still plenty of reasons to tune in.
In addition to an appearance at the World Series, John Legend can be found performing at venues around the nation. Check out StubHub to see when he will be taking the stage in a city near you. Get your pair of John Legend tickets today!
