Davis’ Near-Death Experience Inspires New Album

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has said that the bands upcoming album was inspired, in many ways, by Davis’ own stint in the hospital on the eve of the band’s Download 2006 appearance, which rendered Davis unable to perform for the appearance. Hospitalized with idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura, a disease that makes it hard for suffers to from blood clots and therefore to stop bleeding on their own, Davis claims he almost died.
