2009 Tour for Beyonce

Jay-Z’s leading lady, Beyonce, is slated to tour in 2009 in support of her upcoming yet-to-be-titled third solo album. The former Destiny’s Child singer will play international dates next spring and stateside shows early next summer subsequent to the Nov. 18 release of her impending album, released via Music World, Columbia. Two singles, “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies,” will precede the album’s release on Oct. 14 and music videos for the songs, directed by Jake Nava, will air later on this month.

Beyonce will perform one of her new singles at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool, England Nov. 6. The singer will also release Beyonce AOL Sessions and a deluxe edition of her upcoming album, featuring unannounced bonus tracks on Nov. 18.  On her Web site Beyonce commented on her new album, saying “It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny’s Child when I was 15 years old. I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me.”
