Nick Cave curates the Australian All Tomorrow’s Parties

If you’ve been following the news regarding All Tomorrow’s Parties this year—which has had some amazing lineups, including My Bloody Valentine curating the final day at the New York event, and even picking the lineup for that day—then you’ll be excited to know that Australian rocker Nick Cave is getting in on the action.

At the ATP Australia event, Cave will be headlining as well as curating the event. It’s being held from Jan. 9-18, with the final two days at Cockatoo Island, a former prison colony. A few of the bands that will be performing there include Silver Apples, Spiritualized, Afrirampo and more. Cave, of course, the dark-eyed and imposing Australian bad boy known for murder ballads and tender love songs, will be performing as well.

Looking to see him before those dates? You can still buy or sell concert tickets for this great artist. Just get Nick Cave tickets at Stubhub.com.

Nine Inch Nails is headed to your iPhone

Those readers with an iPhone are no doubt familiar with the popular game Tap, Tap Revenge. It’s similar to Dance, Dance Revolution in that it’s a rhythmic memory game with a title that repeats two verbs and a noun. The Japanese are fond of titling movies and games this way.

Anyways. Tap, Tap Revenge lets you tap out the beats to certain songs, and it appears that Nine Inch Nails’ oeuvre will soon be apppearing on iPhones as well. According to Pitchfork, you can expect the game to begin including 16 recent tracks from Nine Inch Nails’ The Slip and even Ghosts I-IV. Neither one of those albums are particularly “fun” records, so it’s kind of odd that they would choose them. Still, fans of songs off those albums will surely be delighted.

Of course, the band sounds better live than it does on your iPhone, but that requires concert tickets. Get Nine Inch Nails tickets at Stubhub.com.

Coldplay has new EP coming out!

Man, Chris Martin and company don’t need a lot of downtime. Not too long after releasing the smash album Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends, Coldplay has announced that a new EP is on the way. They had recently told the public to expect an EP of new material in the winter, but it looks like it’ll still be Fall when it comes out. Entitled “Lost!”, the EP is due out on Nov. 10 worldwide, according to an interview with the NME.

“Lost!” is a track off Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, of course, but the three other tracks are what will keep Coldplay fans salivating until then. What new music does the band have in store for us? It won’t be clear until the magic date arrives. More than likely the band will release some new details about the three remaining songs as the date draws nearer.
