Joss Stone, who will be playing in the Concert for Diana in London on Sunday, July 1, 2007, has perfected her set list for the concert. The list became perfected after this soulful singer asked Prince William himself to help her choose songs that his mother would have liked to hear sung.
Joss Stone is herself around the same age as William and remembers the drama unfolding on the television when Diana’s tragic death occurred, even though Stone was little more than a child at the time. Rather than just sing those songs which she is known for and which have made her famous, Stone wanted to make the performance a little more special and a little more personal for the Princess Diana who was so well-known and loved and missed not only within Stones home country of England, but seemingly everywhere else in the world as well.
Surely Stones efforts will not go unnoticed, and surely William and his brother appreciate the songbirds efforts. For your own chance to see Joss Stone live, visit stubhub.com today!
Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has said that the bands upcoming album was inspired, in many ways, by Davis’ own stint in the hospital on the eve of the band’s Download 2006 appearance, which rendered Davis unable to perform for the appearance. Hospitalized with idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura, a disease that makes it hard for suffers to from blood clots and therefore to stop bleeding on their own, Davis claims he almost died. Understandably, this near-death experience has given the frontman a new take on life, both his own and the general idea of what life is. It is these ideas that had been playing on his mind as he worked on material for the bands new album.
The somber effect that Davis’ hospitalization had on his outlook towards the group’s upcoming album is tempered with the joys and hopes that Davis felt regarding what his life was, including his joy with being in Korn and his love for his children. All these elements promise to come togehter to create a very powerful album, so make sure you check it out. And, in the meantime, see what you can do about securing yourself tickets to see Korn in concert, at stubhub.com today!
Yellowcard itself is calling their newest album, “Paper Album” their best yet, superior to the two discs, “Ocean Avenue” and “Lights and Sounds” that preceeded it. This is an interesting twist considering the fact that this album took them less than a year to release, while their first two albums had almost three years elapse between “Ocean Avenue” and “Lights and Sounds.” Whether this means that Yellowcard is trusting themselves as a band more now as they come into their third release, or they are just more confident that they have a fan base that will run with their latest musical experiments is yet to be seen, but the results do look promising.
After vocalist and guitarist Ryan Key had vocal surgery in 2006, the band was way-laid for weeks while he healed, and after this healing was complete it had become apparent that the band was eager for a new start, and to embark upon a new chapter in their professional career. Therefore the musical blending of all the best that Yellowcard had to offer its fans began, and the results are an album that the band itself is quite proud to put its name on and one which they are confident fans will appreciate just as much as they find joy in giving their fans new music. Mackin’s violin sound is still prominent, as are the personal lyrics that fans are so able to identify with.
Make sure you check out “Paper Walls” while you wait to catch the band in concert, but its also recommended you act fast to get yourself tickets to see them live so you don’t miss out! Get tickets today at stubhub.com!

Due to the fact that the average American adult is stuck behind a desk for most of their day, and was busy hanging out with friends and imbiding in their late-teenager years, it is more than invigorating to witness a star with the talent and drive of a person like Joss Stone, who achieved worldwide stardom and success by the tender age of 19 years.
There is something about watching a young person take control of their live and make a career off of a talent that the avage person just does not possess that makes Joss Stone even more fun to watch as she continues to grow into a twenty-something and change her image and her vocal style as all people do at that age, just not in the public eye for most of us.
Considering the fact that Stone had sold more than 7.5 million albums worldwide, had been nominated for four Grammy Awards and appeared on stage with such greats as James Brown, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Patti Labelle, Mavis Staples, Donna Summer and Smokey Robinson by the time she’d been legal for a year, this girl has a lot more going for her than just a little bit of talent. Stone has lungfuls of the stuff and we are able to hear them with each new single she puts out and each new album she releases.
Joss Stone’s chops should gain her considerable staying power, so make sure you stay abreast of the various happenings in her career, because odds are you are not going to want to miss one moment of what her twenties will bring, considering how good her teens were! Jonathan Davis, the lead singer of the metal band Korn was recently asked who he would rather kill off in a horror movie, Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. The question references the fact that these two once-bosom-buddies have each been in movies where their characters are murdered - Lohan’s murdered-character flick is yet-to-be-released, Paris’ turn was in “House of Wax.”
In response to the question Davis told AOL Music that he would rather choose to see a film in which Lindsay Lohan’s character was killed off, due to a handful of physical attributes that he finds more fitting to murder victims than not, apparently. While this question was undoubtedly innocent, there have been some newspaper headlines already hinting that the frontman desires to kill Lindsay Lohan as a stand-alone fact, a claim that is taken completely out-of-context and undoubtedly only is utilized due to the style of music, with its dedicated fan following, that the Davis’ band plays.
However, the true fans know the merits of the music and whatever mainstream media wants to do with Davis’ words is their own decision, no amount of fact can change the stories as told by certain media, and such stands true with regards so such headlines. Ben Harper is no political slacker. Unlike so many of his music industry contemporaries, he understands that he plays a very small role in the world as a whole, that he is not as important as the causes and undertakings he can support. It was in this vein that, it has been announced, Harper took to the stage on Friday, June 22, 2007 to perform a handful of songs in support of Senator Barak Obama as a presidential candidate. The tickets sold for $100 general admission and $250 for premium balcony seating, with VIP access topping out at $500. The event was wholly enjoyable by those who attended and raised a pretty penny for Obama’s presidential run.
More importantly than bringing his incredible music to the masses, however, Ben Harper showed the world that it is right to make a stand for what you believe in, and to use what resources you were given in life, to make a point and to make a difference. For your chance to see Ben Harper live, make sure you get tickets at stubhub.com today.
There is something to be said for a girl who will willingly dye her blonde locks pink, and that is pretty much what sums Joss Stone up very prettily. It’s what she was requested not to do.
