Five acts under the same name: an American musician, an American band, an Austrian punk-rock band, an artist from Brazil, a Swedish indie-electronica artist.

1) The man known to his fans simply as Rodriguez was born Sixto Diaz Rodriguez on the 10th July 1942. Sixto (pronounced "Seez-toe") means sixth in Spanish as he is the sixth child in his family. He was born and bred and still lives in Detroit, Michigan in the USA. His biggest fanbases are in South Africa and Australia, where he had some success in the late 70's to early 80's when Blue Goose Records released the three albums "Cold Fact", "After The Fact" and "At His Best" and a live recording from the 1980 tour, "Rodriguez Alive".
His first tour of South Africa was in 1998, following the release of "Looking for Jesus" a Documentary where South African journalist, and fan literally sets out to... find Rodriguez, after longstanding rumors of his death. This was also marked by another album release, "Live Fact" that went platinum in South Africa.

2) Rodriguez was a band which originated in San Luis Obispo, California. Formed in 1991 by bassist/vocalist Kyle Field (aka Little Wings) and guitarist/vocalist Matt Ward (aka M. Ward), drummer Mike Funk joined in 1993. Their only album to date, Swing Like a Metronome, released in 2000, was recorded by Grandaddy's Jason Lytle and featured songs written between 1992 and 1997. After Rodriguez disbanded, both songwriters went on to illustrious solo careers.
